Huacachina

Only 5 km from Ica lies the desert oasis of Huacachina. It is a small lake with medicinal water, lying in the middle of a spectacular sand desert which make you think you are in the Sahara. You can walk around, swim, relax, and when you can afford it you can take a room or a meal in the beautiful colonial Hotel Mossone. When you are adventurous, you can "snowboard" off the sand dunes, or take a walk in the sand desert. Be sure you don't get lost for all you will see is sand.
