7th Pay Commission Latest News: Indian Air Force has announced vacancies for eligible India Citizens for the recruitment of Group C civilian posts at the various Air Force Stations. The eligible candidates may address their application to the concerned stations/units.
The vacancies announced by the Air Force include cooks, AC Mechanic, store keeper, steno, carpenter and others according to the official advertisement published in the Employment News Issue no 14 dated 02-08 July 2022.
A total of over 20 vacancies have been announced which could vary as per the requirements, the advertisements said.
The age limit for the said posts is between 18 years and 25 years. There is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates, 05 years for SC and ST candidates and 10 years for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities).
The advertisement further states that candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories applying under the unreserved category will not be entitled for reservation.
The positions offer attractive salaries and in accordance to the 7th Central Pay Commission. The salaries being offered for selected candidates for the positions of carpenter, cook, AC mechanic, civilian mechanical transport driver (Ordinary Grade) and lower division grade clerk. For Steno Gd-II, the pay is Level 4 of the CPC.

For the position of Mess Staff and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), the pay matrix is Level 1.

The advertisement further said that all the applications will e scrutinised in terms of age limits, educational qualification, documents and certificates. Thereafter, the selected candidates will be issued call letters for written test.
