Amid positive global markets, negative Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), positive Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs), neutral Future and Options (F&O) and neutral sentiments, the short-term trend of the Indian market will remain neutral on Monday, July 18, 2022, said Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi.
On Friday, barometer indices Nifty50 rose higher by 0.69% and Sensex gained 0.64% to settle at 16,049.20 and 53,760.78 respectively. In the broader market, Nifty midcap gained over 0.7% and Smallcap closed with more than 0.3% gains. Sectorally, Auto, Energy and FMCG gained between 1.45% to 2.03%, while Nifty Metal and PSU Bank declined by 0.8% and 0.47% as all other sectoral indices settled with marginal gains or cuts.
