The India VS Bangladesh 2nd Test has come to a close. The match ended with India ending on the winner’s side. R Ashwin was regarded as the “Player of the Match” and Cheteshwar Pujara was regarded as the “Player of the Tournament”. It was an amazing game of cricket. The Bangladesh team also tried to make an effective comeback but the Indian batters ensured that India get home. R Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer impressed with the bat in the second innings. Here is an in-depth look:

Toss: Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat.

India Scores: 314/10. India led by 87 runs.

The 2nd inning saw a decent batting display from the Indian batters. The top order collapsed so the middle and the lower-middle order had to take care of the proceedings. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant started a counterattack. It worked in favor of India. India ended with 314 runs on board for the loss of 10 wickets. India had a lead of 87 runs. For the men in green, it was Shakib and Taijul who were exceptional with the ball.

3rd Innings of  2nd Test:

Bangladesh Scores: 231/10. Bangladesh Leads by 144 runs.

The 3rd Inning of the game was the Bangladeshi batting innings. They scampered through to get 231 runs on board. India got the target of 144 runs. The best batters for them were Litton Das and Zakir Hussain. Zakir has been mighty impressive ever since his debut in the last game. Zakir scored 51 and Litton got 73. The lower order also chipped in for a few runs. Taskin got 31 and Nurul Hasan, the wicket-keeper got 31. It was a team effort to get 231 runs. 4th Innings of 2nd Test:

India Scores: 145/7. India win the test.

The Indian batting started on a sour note. They lost wickets in quick succession at the top. Axar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat were sent to be night watchmen and neutralize things. Axar was also promoted because the team wanted to try a “lefty-righty” combination. They took India to 45-4 overnight. The Indian team lost 3 more wickets the next morning. The situation looked grim. But Shreyas Iyer and R Ashwin held their nerves. They took India home.
