BEL share price has been advancing on the back bonus share announcement and the Modi government approving a fresh list of 780 components and subsystems to be procured from the domestic defence companies. BEL board of directors had in early August approved the share bonus proposal in the ratio of 2:1. The state-run company will give two bonus shares for every one share held by the shareholders.
BEL has just recently signed an MoU with Smiths Detection, a global leader in threat detection and security inspection technologies, for offering advanced, high-energy scanning systems to the Indian market.
BEL is the largest domestic electronics manufacturer. It is the dominant supplier of radar, communication and electronic warfare equipment to the Indian armed forces.
