Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year, scheduled to release on September 9, 2022. The trailer and poster of the film has contributed to the excitement around the film.
The advancing booking of the movie based on mythology has garnered some steam. Trade expert Taran Adarsh said “‘BRAHMĀSTRA’: ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS… Finally, some relief for the industry… Received #Brahmāstra *day-wise data* [advance booking] of *a leading multiplex chain.”
The trade analyst shared tweets mentioning the ticket count and said, “Observations.. Tickets sold: 11,558 [veryyy positive start, since advance opened at select locations only].
Hoping for the revival of Hindi films after back-to-back flops, Taran said that the film “Needs to maintain the pace till Thursday night for a strong advance status.”
Taran further stated, “Mass circuits and spot bookings [when the film releases] will play an extremely vital role in *Day 1* [Fri] numbers.” He added that the Saturday and Sunday business will depend on the audience’s reception.
‘Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva’ is the first part of the trilogy series that will mark the beginning of Bollywood’s own cinematic universe, the Astraverse.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, “Brahmastra” features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead alongside Alia Bhatt, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy.
The film will hit the theatres across India on September 9, with “RRR” director SS Rajamouli on board as the presenter for the south region, where the movie will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Meanwhile, it is said that Shah Rukh Khan will also feature in an important cameo.
“We are trying to penetrate into every corner… This is Indian cinema. Let’s not call it anything else. We keep giving it wood, Tollywood, Bollywood. But we are not up in the woods anymore. We are out of them. We are now proudly part of Indian cinema. Each and every film will now be from Indian cinema, producer Karan Johar said at a promotional event of the movie on Friday.
