How to block PhonePe, GPay and Paytm accounts in case you lost your phone – Details

Digital payment is on the rise all across the world. The surge has been considerably high after the coronavirus pandemic. As per the RBI’s monthly data, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions increased from Rs 9.83 lakh crore in April this year to Rs 10.73 lakh crore in August. Most of the time it has been noticed that people use more than one such UPI payment application. While it has made life easier, there are some consequences as well. As all these payment applications are stored on the smartphone, one can be in trouble when it is lost or stolen. This is because there are always chances of such platforms being misused.

In such cases, the most important thing is to block all your accounts on priority. Here in this story, we are going to tell you about how you can block your PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm accounts.

Steps to block your PhonePe account 

Step 1: PhonePe users can call on helpline number 08068727374. 

Step 2: You will have to provide below-mentioned details to the customer support executive:

– Registered mobile number 
– E-mail ID registered with PhonePe
– Last payment details like type, value, etc
– Names of the bank accounts linked
– Alternate mobile number, if any

Step 3: Your account will be temporarily blocked.

Steps to block your Paytm account 

Step 1: Call Paytm Payments Bank Helpline – 0120 4456456 after getting your SIM blocked.

Step 2: Select ‘Report loss or unauthorized usage of wallet, debit card or savings account’ option

Step 3: Select ‘Lost Phone’ option

Step 4: Enter the Lost mobile number

Step 5: Select ‘Block Paytm account’ option

Steps to block your Google Pay account  

Step 1: Reach out to Google Pay or GPay via toll-free helpline on 1800-419-0157.

Step 2: Choose the option to talk to a specialist and provide all details to get your account blocked.
