IndvsPak Super 4 Asia Cup 2022: Pakistan entered the Super 4 to take on India once again as they destroyed Hong Kong in a group match of Asia Cup 2022. The match played in Sharjah, Dubai saw Pakistan post 193/2 on the scoreboard.
Hong Kong was expected to show some fight as they did against India but the semi-professional team could not withstand the Pakistan bowling attack.
They scrambled up for paltry 38 runs against Pakistan in the last match of Group A in the Asia Cup 2022.
Following the win, Pakistan has qualified for the Super 4 along with India, Afghanistan, and Srilanka.
In an earlier clash against India in Group A, Pakistan had almost won until Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya’s fiery innings saw India win the match by wickets and 2 balls to spare.
While batting first Pakistan posted a total of 147 owing to Mohammad Rizwan’s steady stand of 43 runs. Chasing the target, India lost KL Rahul quickly but Kohli, Jadeja and Pandya’s contribution led India to another victory agaist its neighbour.
A total of six teams have participated in the Asia Cup 2022.
The tournament which started on August 27 saw India and Afghanistan cruising to Super 4 from their respective groups.
In Super 4, each team will play against each other and the final match will be played on 11 September.
This is the 15th edition of the Asia Cup, first being played in 1984.
