Manhart’s 2023 BMW M2 Will Be A Bavarian Tuned Thunderbolt

This is the 2023 BMW M2 but not as you know it, or rather as Manhart would like it to be known and seen. BMW purists will know it as the M2 G87 which is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine, the same powerplant found in the current M3. BMW could not allow the smaller M2 to usurp the M3 so they detuned it by 20bhp to produce 453bhp and 550Nm of torque. That engine allows the M2 to accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. To German performance car tuning specialists Manhart, BMW’s OEM performance cars look and sound too boring.

So Manhart is busy working on their vision for the 2023 BMW M2. When it launches, the Manhart MH2 560 will boost power from 453bhp to 560bhp and torque will rise to 650 Nm. Manhart will fit a new uprated stainless steel exhaust or carbon or ceramic-coated tailpipes, optional depending on preference.

The Manhart MH2 560 will also get a revised and uprated suspension setup, two variants will be available, full coilovers or lowering springs. The exterior styling is Manhart subtle, with new bespoke alloy wheel designs, side skirts, front and rear bumpers, and a fixed rear wing. However, the Manhart MH2 features the company’s signature black and gold liveried signature accent color palette.

A reminder, the images provided by Manhart are digital renders, so expect a few changes to occur when the MH2 560 eventually launches. But you’ll have to be patient for now because the first deliveries of the OEM spec BMW G87 M2 will begin in April 2023 with prices starting at £62K.
