The ICC on Wednesday released the latest set of rankings and Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant was among the biggest movers in the race for the top ranking hots ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later this year.

Shreyas Iyer hit an impressive half-century during the fifth and final match of the series in Florida to jump six places in the batsmen’s rankings to 19th.

Pant finished the series with 115 as the second leading run-scorer of the draw, with his quick 44 in the fourth match as the left-hander jumped seven places to 59th.

Rising opener Suryakumar Yadav was the highest run-scorer during the series with 135 runs, but the decision to rest him for the final match meant he missed his chance to overtake Babar at the top of the proceedings.

Yadav remains at the second spot in the T20I rankings, with Babar now leading by 13 rating points ahead of the eagerly-awaited meeting between India and Pakistan at the Asia Cup in Dubai later this month.

A bunch of India bowlers was rewarded with big moves in the latest T20I rankings for bowlers in the series against West Indies.

Young spinner Ravi Bishnoi was India’s leading wicket-taker during the series with eight wickets and saw the 21-year-old jump 50 places overall to be ranked 44th in the recent list of bowlers.
Teammates Avesh Khan, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav were also big movers, while veteran Tej Bhuvneshwar Kumar dropped a place to ninth position after just three wickets during the West Indies series.

South Africa’s recent 2-0 series win over Ireland away from home also rewarded its players on the latest set of T20I rankings, with in-form opener Reeza Hendrix moving up two places in the batsmen’s list to 13th. Went.

Spinner Keshav Maharaj has moved up 10 places to 18th overall in the bowlers’ rankings, while South Africa teammate Dwayne Pretorius has jumped seven places to 26th in the all-rounders’ list.

Raza’s unbeaten century against Bangladesh has seen him jump 10 places to 29th in the batsmen’s rankings for right-handers and seven places to fourth in the all-rounders’ rankings.
