MKBHD road tests the Ferrari 296GTB PHEV for his Auto Focus YouTube side channel. The Ferrari 296 (Type F171) is a plug-in hybrid sports car that was unveiled on 24 June 2021. The 296 in the model name stands for the displacement and the number of cylinders, and GTB stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta (little saloon).
The 296 GTB PHEV is powered by a mid-mounted 3.0 L twin-turbo V6 engine that outputs 654 hp; 663 PS at 8,000 rpm, in combination with a 123 kW (165 hp; 167 PS) electric motor. The total system output is 818 hp; 829 PS). A 7.45 kWh battery pack enables an electrical range of 25 km (16 mi).
Performance is typical Ferrari, 0-62 mph is dispatched in 2.9 seconds, and the top speed is rated at 205 mph. But what does MKBHD think of it?
