City Limits rounds up the latest housing and land use-related events, public hearings and upcoming affordable housing lotteries that are ending soon.

Welcome to City Limits’ NYC Housing Calendar, a weekly feature where we round up the latest housing and land use-related events and hearings, as well as upcoming affordable housing lotteries that are ending soon. Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:

  • Thursday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.: The State Senate’s standing committee on Housing, Construction, and Community Development will hold a public hearing on deed theft. More here. 
  • Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.: The NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Developing is hosting a Tenant Resource Fair, over Zoom, to educate the community on rent protection for low-income individuals, housing lotteries, and discrimination protections. More here.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m.: The NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission is holding a public meeting about properties in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan in the public hearing room at 1 Centre St. More here.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. HPD’s Outreach Van, in partnership with NYC Council Member Shaun Abreu, will be located at 500 West 141st St. in Council District 7. In these vans, you can learn more about HPD and housing-related issues such as preparing to apply for affordable housing, understanding your rights and responsibilities, and filing a housing complaint. NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon 

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.

  • 555 Tenth Avenue, New York, for households earning $23,932 to $198,600
  • 2339 Stuart St Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning $80,572 to $187,330
  • 2321 Belmont Ave Apartments, The Bronx, for households earning $66,858 to $187,330
  • 1050 Bedford Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning $67,715 to $156,130
  • The Marathon Building – 31-07 38th Avenue, Long Island City, for households earning $83,143 to $215,150
  • 276 Grand Concourse Apartments, The Bronx, for households earning $64,458 to $187,330
  • 2109 Tiebout Avenue Apartments, The Bronx, for households earning $66,000 to $187,330
  • 2 Mt. Hope Place Apartments, The Bronx, for households earning $21,738 to $215,150
  • 160 Clarkson Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning $72,000 to $187,330
  • 305 East 165th Street Senior Housing, The Bronx, for households earning $55,612 to $187,330
  • 597 Marcy Ave, Brooklyn, for households earning $62,675 to $187,330
  • 1010 Bedford Avenue and 263 Skillman Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning $93,532 to $215,150
  • 3391 Hooper Street AKA 383 South 1st Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning $92,915 to $187,330 
  • 110 Thatford Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning $68,572 to 4215,150
