Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, the eligible farmers are given monetary support. The support which is given as a part of Pm Kisan Samman Nidhi is Rs 6000 per year.

This assistance is provided thrice a year directly into their bank accounts. As of now, a total of 11 installments have been given to the farmers.

The 12th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is expected to be given in September.

Apart from that, it is important for farmers to quickly complete their E-KYC.

It must be noted that those farmers, who are waiting for the 12th installment must complete their E-KYC before August 31.

There are two types of E-KYC available for farmers.

Firstly,  OTP Based eKYC is available on PM KISAN Portal.

Secondly, farmers visiting the nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.

Pm Kisan is a centre sector scheme which is 100% funded by the Union Government.

While it is a central government initiative, the process of identification of beneficiary farmers’ families lies with states and UTs.

The scheme is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
