Stock Market Today 21 Sept 2022: The stock market on Wednesday ended lower amid mixed global market trends ahead of the keenly awaited US Fed interest rate decision. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 262.96 points or 0.44 per cent to settle at 59,456.78. During the day, it tanked 444.34 points or 0.74 per cent to 59,275.40. The NSE Nifty went lower by 97.90 points or 0.55 per cent to end at 17,718.35.

Stock Market Top Gainers and Losers:          

In the 30-share BSE Sensex, 8 stocks were gainers at the closing time and the remaining 22 were losers.          

Sensex Top Gainers:          

1) HUL shares ended at Rs 2623.90, up over 1.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.          

2) ITC shares ended at Rs 341.05, up over 1.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.         

3) Bajaj Finance shares ended at Rs 7688.95, up around 1 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.      

4) Tech Mahindra shares ended at Rs 1061.00, up over 0.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.           

5) Reliance Industries shares ended at Rs 2509.25, up around 0.3 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.      

Sensex Top Losers:          

1) IndusInd Bank shares ended at Rs 1223.90, down over 3 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

2) Power Grid shares ended at Rs 226.40, down over 2.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

3) UltraTech Cement shares ended at Rs 6320.70, down around 2.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.  

4) L&T shares ended at Rs 1895.80, down around 2 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

5) NTPC shares ended at Rs 168.65, down around 2 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.     

 

In the 50-share Nifty index, 14 stocks were gainers at the closing time and the remaining 36 were losers.      

Nifty50 Top Gainers:   

1) Britannia shares ended at Rs 3,755.15, up around 3 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.          

2) ITC shares ended at Rs 342.80, up over 2 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.         

3) HUL shares ended at Rs 2,622.00, up around 1.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.          

4) Apollo Hospital shares ended at Rs 4,610.95, up over 1 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.          

5) Coal India shares ended at Rs 232.25, up around 1 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.      

Nifty50 Top Losers:   

1) Shree Cement shares ended at Rs 22,184.65, down over 4.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

2) Adani Ports shares ended at Rs 937.05, down around 3.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

3) IndusInd Bank shares ended at Rs 1,231.95, down over 2.5 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

4) Hindalco shares ended at Rs 411.95, down over 2 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.        

5) Power Grid shares ended at Rs 228.40, down around 2 per cent from Tuesday’s closing price.
