Stock Market Today 26th Sep 2022: Top Gainers and Losers – What investors should know

Indian stock markets continued their losing streak on Monday as weakness in rupee against the US Dollar goes uncheked. The BSE Sensex today ended at 57,145.22, down by 953.70 points or 1.64 per cent from the Friday closing level. Meanwhile, the 50-share Nifty50 index, settled at 17016.30, lower by 311 points or 1.8 per cent from the preivious closing.

In the 30-share Sensex, 7 stocks were trading in the green at the closing time while the remainng 23 were in the red.

Sensex top gainers:

1) HCL Technologies shares ended at Rs 906.90, up 1.28 per cent from the Friday closing price.

2) Asian Paints Shares ended at Rs 3432.50, up 1.14 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price.

3)  Infosys Shares ended at Rs 1379.75, up 1.06 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price.

4) Ultratech Cement Company Shares ended at Rs 6176.65, up 0.50 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price.

5) TCS Shares ended at Rs 2994.75, up 0.40 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price.

Sensex top Losers:

1) Maruti Suzuki Shares ended at Rs 8830.65, down 5.49 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price.

2) Tata Steel Shares ended at Rs 99.85, down 4.22 per cent from the Friday closing price.

3) ITC shares ended at Rs 332.55, down 3.96 per cent from the Friday closing price.

4) Axis Bank Shares ended at Rs 742.45, down 3.40 per cent from the Friday closing price.

5) NTPC Shares ended at Rs 158.55, down 3.35 per cent from the Friday closing price.

 

In the 50-share Nifty50, 22 shares advanced while 28 declined.
