Stock Market Today 5 Sep 2022: Top Gainers and Losers – What investors should know

Stock Market Today 5 September 2022: Indian stock market began the trading week on a positive not on Monday. While the BSE Sensex closed at 59,245.98, up nearly 442.65 points or  0.75 per cent from the Friday closing price, the 50-share Nifty50 index settled at 17,671.30, up by 131.85 or 0.75 per cent from the last closing.  

In the 30-share BSE Sensex, 24 stocks were gainers at the closing time. The remaining 6 were losers.

1) Sun Pharmaceuticals Shares ended at Rs 885, up 1.8 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price. 

2) ITC shares ended at Rs 328.75, up 1.8 per cent from the Friday closing price.

3) NTPC shares ended at Rs 164.45, up 1.7 per cent from the Friday closing price.

4) Reliance Industries shares ended at Rs 2570.25, up 1.6 per cent from the Friday closing price.

5) Larsen & Toubro shares ended at Rs 1968.25, up 1.4 per cent from the Friday closing price.

Sensex top Losers:

1) Nestle Industries Shares ended at Rs 19263.80, down 1.5 per cent on the BSE from the Friday closing price. 

2) Ultratech Cement Company Shares ended at Rs 6526.10, down 0.8 per cent from the Friday closing price. 

3) Wipro ended at Rs 405.60, down 0.5 per cent from the Friday closing price. 

4) Power Grid Shares ended at Rs 223.65, down 0.3 per cent from the Friday closing price. 

5) Asian Paints Shares ended at Rs 3423.65, down 0.2 per cent from the Friday closing price.
