Stock Market Today 8 September 2022: Indian stock markets were upbeat on the weekly expiry day. On Thursday, the BSE Sensex closed at 59,688.22, up by 659.31 points or 1.12 per cent from the Wednesday closing price, while the 50-share Nifty50 index settled at 17798.75, up 174 by points or 1 per cent from the last closing.
In the 30-share BSE Sensex, 25 stocks were gainers at the closing time. The remaining 5 were losers.
1) Axis Bank shares ended at Rs 781.65, up 3.5 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
2) Tech Mahindra Shares ended at Rs 1091.10, up 3.3 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
3) ICCI Bank shares ended at Rs 899.55, up 2.6 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
4) Mahindra & Mahindra shares ended at Rs 1321, up 2.5 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
5) SBI shares ended at Rs 544.75, up 2.3 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
Sensex top Losers:
1) Tata Steel Shares ended at Rs 106, down 1.5 per cent on the BSE from the Wednesday closing price.
2) NTPC Shares ended at Rs 166.60, down 0.42 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
3) Titan ended at Rs 2629.50, down 0.32 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
4) Nestle India Shares ended at Rs 19149.40, down 0.15 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
5) HCL Technologies Shares ended at Rs 931.50, down 0.03 per cent from the Wednesday closing price.
