The Bugatti Centodieci, Made For Collectors, Never To Be Driven

The Bugatti Centodieci is a spin-off of the Bugatti Chiron. The Centodieci uses the Chiron’s carbon-fiber body structure and is powered by the Chiron’s 1,600 bhp, 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbo engine. Think of the Bugatti Centodieci then, as a restyled, bespoke coachbuilt Chiron. The Centodici is limited to just 10 examples and all sold out before they were even presented to clients.

The Bugatti Chiron entered production in 2016, limited to just 500 units, 100 units are yet to manufacture due to the hand built nature of the Chiron. Bugatti will allocate a certain number of Chirons for special edition status, the Centodieci is one such example.

This particular example is the last Centodieci to leave the Bugatti prodution line. It’s finished in Quatrz White, the black carbon finishing gives a contrast, almost graphical look. The interior is finished in pearl blue with match colours for the brake calipers. Neat touch.

The Bugatti Centodieci is all about style, yet the substance is still very much retained. The 1,600bhp W12 can still propel the car to scooter away from 0-62mph in 2.4 seconds before going on to reach a top speed of 234 mph. Most Centodieci owners will never go beyond the limits of the car.

The Centodieci’s exterior styling is strongly influenced by the Bugatti EB110 from the 1990s. I thought it looked familiar. Indeed, for the owners, the Centodieci is an investment as much as it is a chance to buy an extravagantly exclusive hypercar.
