It appears that the British Conservative government has secretly laced Scotland’s natural water supply/sweage with Iron Bru if not completely replaced the water altogether with Scotland’s most orange and most famous Hebridean beverage. This can only be the most logical explanation to describe the… thing. The thing in question is called the Munro MK1. Forged by Munro Vehicles of Scotlandshire, the Munro MK1 is an all-electric 4×4. The land of the Picts, the true brits of the United Kingdom, has created the galaxy core of all-electric 4x4s. Step aside Tesla Cybertruck.
The MK1 exterior styling isn’t messing around, no need for deep analytical thinking. Here, you haul yourself into the cabin by a rope ladder and drive the… thing… away. It’s designed, engineered, and built in Britain, the Munro MK_1 is the world’s most capable all-electric 4×4. Munro claims the MK1 can operate for up to 16 hours on a single battery charge.
The Munro MK1 is offered with a choice of two electric motors and two power derivatives of 295bhp and 375bhp, 220kW and 280kW, along with the option of two battery packs, 61kWh and 82kWh. Muro estimates the MK1 has a range of up 190 miles on a single battery charge. The vehicle’s battery pack comprises 35 state-of-the-art Lithium NMC battery modules mounted in three replaceable heavy-duty aluminum boxes underneath the vehicle.
A fully integrated heat pump-based thermal management system increases efficiency. Munro states that the battery pack is guaranteed to deliver 80 percent of its original energy capacity for at least eight years and 100,000 miles.
For Munro, the priority was to equip the MK1 with a single, central-mounted electric motor providing power to a robust, proven and easily maintained mechanical four-wheel-drive system. Every Munro is geared for torque, with a top speed of 80mph, and the 280kW Performance version can surge to 62mph in a mere 4.9 seconds.
The Munro MK1 is scheduled to go on sale next year and is expected to retail from £60K.
