YouTuber Unbox Therapy gets the Hummer EV into his studio to check it out and initially, he was skeptical until he got behind the wheel and road-tested it. He was instantly converted. Hummer was best known for making military vehicles before succumbing to consumer demand. The brand was founded 30 years ago before becoming defunct in 2020. It is now revived as GMC Hummer as an all-electric maker of oversized SUVs.
The GMC Hummer rides on 35-inch tyres, has a power output of between 850bhp and 1,000bhp, accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds, and has a range of over 300 miles despite weighing upto 4.5 tonnes. It is the best Hummer ever, and even Unbox Therapy YouTube man is excited about it.
Entry-level Hummer EV models will retail from $80K and over $100,000 for top spec editions. First deliveries are expected to reach customers by mid-2023.
The only issue we have is, is it too big? For UK roads, yes.
